About me
Treon comes to IHG from the U.S. Travel Association with extensive experience as a government relations professional. While at U.S. Travel, he primarily focused on federal issues related to business travel, visa policy, travel facilitation, pandemic relief, and tax policy. Prior to joining U.S. Travel, he served in the U.S. Senate for over 10 years in several different capacities, last as a chief economic policy advisor to Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL).
In his spare time, Treon likes to bike, play board games, and travel – with Nashville, Germany, Denmark, Thailand, and Egypt among his favorite places to visit so far. Treon is originally from Madison, Wisconsin, with an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in public administration from Norwich University.
